Zija International is a multi-level marketing company that provides health and wellness products. It was created by Kenneth E. Brailsford in 2005. Moreover, it is headquartered in Utah, which is basically the home of a lot of MLM companies including:

- Young Living
- DoTerra
- Nature's Sunshine Products
In late 2019, Zija International was obtained by a new MLM, Isagenix. Currently, both of the companies are working on integrating and will soon be fully merged together.

Zija International offers health and wellness products. The main 4 product categories are:

- Liquid Nutritional

Each of these categories have their own product lines. However, to those who are veterans in MLMs reading this, you probably know that there are a lot of health and wellness MLM companies that offer similar products. Some of them are:
So what makes Zija International different from them? Well all of its products use a key ingredient, which is Moringa (Moringa oleifera), also known as Drumstick Tree.
It is a very nutritious ingredient that grows in desert areas. Moreover, research and studies have already proven that Moringa gives a lot of benefits.

Yes you can make money with Zija International through its MLM program. However, that does not mean that it is the best one for you and you can hope to have a full-time income with it.
Generally, MLMs really have low income potential. In fact, between 73% and 99% if MLM distributors lose money. The MLM model is not really designed to make people rich. It requires hardwork in selling and recruiting to really have a decent income.
How can you make money with Zija International?
If you still want to pursue Zija International, here is how you can make money with it. Since it is an MLM, there are two main ways to earn money:
- Sell Zija International Products
- Recruit people to join (you earn commissions from their sales)
Do not expect that you will be compensated after recruiting someone. That's not how an MLM works. You only earn money from your recruits when they make a sale.
How to join Zija International?
Here is how you join Zija International. You only need to pay for the membership fee which costs $41.90. You will also receive a starter distributor kit, brochures for marketing and forms for recruiting.
Afterwards, you will be encouraged to buy product packs. You can see below the options. Each type of pack is sold for a different price and contains various products for you to use personally or sell.
Zija International Compensation Plan
Us usual, MLM compensation plans are difficult to understand. So let me do my best to simplify the Zija International Compensation Plan.
Basically, the compensation plan has a binary structure, shown below. Basically, you, have "two legs" that will be filled with recruits.
The yellow circles are the ones you have personally recruited. While the others are the ones that your recruits recruited. The team that you have built, will even make you more money. However, before anything else, you need to be "active" and "qualified", in order to be eligible to earn bonuses.
- To be "qualified", you must recruit at least one active member of each of your "leg".
- You will be "active" when you will subscribe to Zija International's monthly autoship program.
Here are the kinds of commissions and bonuses that you will be earning:
- Retail Commissions - you receive these from the sales you make
- First Order Bonus - when your member make their first order, you get this bonus
- Builder Bonus - when your member reaches the Builder rank
- Volume Order Rebate - whenever you or your members reach a specific number of Volume Order, you get a bonus.
- Binary Team Commissions - the commissions taken from the binary structure of the compensation plan
If you are still confused, don't worry. Remember that in MLMs, there are just to ways to earn money: sell products and recruit people.
In Zija International's compensation plan, I noticed that 4 of the 5 ways actually include recruiting. This is a red flag of being a pyramid scheme in disguise! I will explain this later on.
Is Zija International a scam?
Zija International is not a scam. It is a legit MLM company that offers products and a business opportunity.
Moreover, it has been in the industry for a long time. However, this doesn't mean that you have to join and rely on it as a source of income! I will explain later why.
Is Zija International a pyramid scheme?
A pyramid scheme is a business model wherein there are no products involved. The only way to make money is through recruiting people. This is illegal and very unsustainable. Only the owners or people behind it can earn money!
So is Zija International a pyramid scheme? Technically, it is not since there are products. Moreover, you can't make money by simply recruiting people.
However, there are signs of it being a pyramid scheme in disguise. The compensation plan actually emphasizes on recruiting so that distributors can have a decent income.

#1 Moringa products
Zija International is well-known for its products that use moringa as an ingredient. It is a proven effective and helpful superfood. Moreover, research and studies have backed its benefits.
The MLM is really trying to help its clients to be healthy.
#2 Training and support
Zija International distributors are given training, support, and materials to help them in selling and recruiting.
In fact, there is a mobile app that provides CRM (Customer Relationship Management). It has helpful videos, recipes and even helps with tracking information!
Cons
#1 Expensive to join
Chances are, you are hoping that you can finally have a source of income with Zija International. However, the truth is, you will be spending and investing a lot of money on it!
To join, you have to pay $40 for the membership fee. Then you will be buying product packs which cost between $199 to $1320.
Furthermore, you are even encouraged to subscribe to the monthly autoship program to be "active". Basically, this program will automatically purchase products for you monthly.
If you fail to sell these, you will be losing money!
#2 Products are too expensive
Even though Zija International has great moringa products, they are still very expensive compared to similar products being sold in Amazon.
This is something that most MLMs do. They sell products that are more expensive that its alternatives. I learned that it is another tactic that pyramid schemes in disguise do.
Distributors will have a difficult time selling the products since customers will choose the cheaper alternatives. So for the distributors to have a decent income, they will be forced to recruit people!

#3 Pyramid scheme in disguise
Lastly, which sums up all the cons we have noticed so far in Zija International is that it is already exhibiting a lot of red flags of being a pyramid schemes in disguise.
Of course it is not obvious to most people. However, for someone who has experience in reviewing MLMs and exposing pyramid schemes, I really recommend to not risk it.
After all, you are looking for a way to earn money, not lose any.

Let's conclude this Zija International review with my final verdict. This MLM company is legit, has great products and do pay its distributors. However, being an MLM, it has a low income potential.
Apart from that, you will be spending a lot of money and will be recruiting a lot of people to have a decent income. This is a huge red flag of being a pyramid scheme in disguise. If it is indeed one, then you better look for another opportunity.
