The first step to affiliate marketing is owning a website.
You have to create a vibrant and engaging site with great aesthetics, SEO, and site structure as well as site navigation.

Once you have a good site, make sure you write regular weekly or biweekly blogs that are exciting and helpful to your legion of online fans. It’s even better if you focus on one topic.

The trust you will build with your online fans based on excellence and consistency is what will help you sell the product or service.
Focus on Email Marketing Not Banners
Banners tend to present the product information in such a way that it has little call to action.
The best thing to do when working in affiliate marketing is to collect as many emails from your subscribers as possible.

I am little surprised though that you are stating that email marketing is the most effective of digital marketing methods. I am just wondering if you have personal experience in conversion rates between the email marketing campaigns and landing pages with autoresponder systems, which I have found to be the most effective way to convert visitors into downline!
Hi Xena landing pages with autoresponder systems are great, but as a beginner is always better to start with email marketing once you have the hang of it you can invest what you earned into more advanced stuff.

Thanks for the great information. I think one of the things people struggle with when it comes to Affiliate Marketing is finding the right “niche”. But it really comes down to what you’re passionate about, that should be the driving force behind wanting to become an affiliate marketer and not so much the money, because the money will come in time.
I think its critical you create great content, build a solid list, and only email subscribers offers that you truly believe in or else people will stop listening to you.
