So you want to sign up for Consumer Opinion Institute but you are skeptical because you think it might be a waste of time?
Researching a company
That’s something I do before I join any website online, and that’s something mandatory in order to avoid scammers.
I like to join and test new sites to earn extra cash but if a site is a waste of time I run away.
I have tried and tested Consumer Opinion Institute and I’m here to share my very honest review with you
I’m also going to share with you some great alternatives along the way.
Consumer Opinion Institute Quick Review
- Name: Consumer Opinion Institute
- Website: Â ConsumerOpinionInstitute.com
- Price: Free
- Rating: 2/5
What is Consumer Opinion Institute?
COI is a survey panel where you get paid for sharing your opinions
Consumer Opinion Institute pays you to try products and services you already use
This reward site belongs to a research company called TNS
They are 100% free to join
It’s legitimate however there are some things I don’t like especially when it comes to how much you can make and if it’s worth it.
I’ll go over that as we go further down in the review.
How does it Work?
1) Join Consumer Opinion Institute
It’s easy to join this site
All you have to do is enter your email address
During the registration process, you will be also given a questionnaire asking you personal questions
You need to answer all those questions correctly
Consumer Opinion Institute will connect you with relevant surveys that interest you based on the questionnaire you filled out.
2) Start Taking Surveys
If you are familiar with surveys like Swagbucks and Daily Rewards
There is something different here at Consumer Opinion Institute as you receive surveys by mail not only by (Email)
This site will send you surveys through USÂ Postal Mail
I’m going to get into how much you can make by taking these surveys later on this review.
3) Get Rewarded
One positive thing about Consumer Opinion Institute is the fact they don’t pay in point
They give you cash.
If you are taking mail surveys you will get cash along with them.
How Much Can You Earn with Consumer Opinion Institute?
To see how much the one can make with this survey panel
Let’s see how many surveys you can expect to receive and how much each one will pay you
How Many Surveys per Month?
The Consumer Opinion Institute clearly says on their website that you can expect to receive:
- Two Mail Surveys
- One Online Survey
How Long Are the Surveys?
The surveys are not really long
Most surveys are 10 to 20 minutes long
How Much $$ Per Survey?
You can earn $2 to $5 per survey
The 5 minutes surveys pay around $2 and the 10 minutes surveys pay around $5
If you take mail surveys, payments will be sent along with them.
Is it Worth it?
Let’s recap
You earn $2-$5 per survey
You will receive 3 surveys per month
As you can see it’s obvious how much money you will make
It’s little money but you’re virtually doing nothing
I prefer Swagbucks and these High Paying Surveys where you can earn up to $300 per month with the same effort.
What I like about Consumer Opinion Institute
- They pay in cash, not in points
- Legitimate and it does pay
- Not very long surveys
What I don’t Like
- You get only 3 surveys per month
- Very little earning potential

Is Consumer Opinion Institute a Scam or Legit?
This is a legitimate survey site that will definitely pay you if put in effort
However, in my opinion, it’s not worth it as the pay is miserable
You get only 3 surveys per month and all you can earn per survey is $2 to $5
I recommend you to check out These High Paying Surveys that will actually make you money.

Hi Anis,
The information you provided in this review is enough to tell me that this Consumer Opinion Institute is legit. But it doesn’t pay much especially since you’re limited to only 3 surveys per month. I find doing a survey is very time consuming and you get very little pay. I’ve done surveys and became very frustrated with it.
Overall this would be good for someone who just wants to do something in a spare time and not for an income.
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for your insights Rosa!
This is a good clear write up of the Consumer Opinion Institute. Thanks Anis.
I wonder how they can get people to sign up when they only offer such a small number of surveys.
Is it possible that this is related to the start up questions? Maybe it depends on whether there are enough “common interests?”
Opinion surveys are fascinating if you can get a steady stream of them. That can maybe produce a small regular income.
I appreciate your honesty that doing surveys will never earn a lot of money.
I notice SwagBucks is the only one you commented on the international aspect. From the UK we are unlikely to be able to do surveys regarding products which are strictly from USA.
I would personally avoid any company which did not pay in cash to PayPal, unless they paid very well in Amazon vouchers.
Thanks for the information and honesty.
Hi there, thanks for your insights, if you like in the UK Swagbucks is perfect and they do support Paypal.
Thanks for visiting!
