Since the year it was founded, 2008, the company has been transcribing various documents for businesses and companies.

These include: audio and video files, phone calls, conference calls, legal files, medical files and many more.

Availing the services of Quicktate will grant you the following features.

But Quicktate is not only for those who want something to be transcribed. This online company offers an opportunity to work with them.

It hires transcribers who will work with them as freelancers. They are the ones who will transcribe the files provided by the clients.

Are there requirements?

Unlike other online jobs on the internet, most transcription jobs have requirements. However, QuickTate is open to mostly anyone from anywhere around the world as long as they fulfill the needed requirements.

The process for jjoining Quicktate is pretty forward. The first thing you need to do is to sign up.

It is a sister company of Quicktate. Based on my research, iDictate transcribers are paid more than the ones in Quicktate.

Quicktate requires to have a background check of you. However, you are the one who will be paying $20 for this. You can do this via Paypal or credit card.

According to them, they won't hire anyone who has a criminal background.

Can anyone join Quicktate?

According to my research, Quicktate hires people from different parts of the world.

It is not particular with any country. However, if you are not from the United States, you must provide your Tax ID number.

How does it work?

Once your application is approved, you will start receiving audio files in your account.

It is quite simple. When you log into your account, you will know that there is a job available because the audio file will just start to play. 

Most of these audio files last for a few minutes. However, there are times wherein the audio assigned to you is longer.

When you receive an audio file, you can start to transcribe it. Make sure that the result is accurate.

Also, after typing, proofread your work. Check for grammatical errors and misspelled words.

When you are done with everything, you can submit it.

Is Quicktate A Scam: Salary and Payment Method

When I was going through the official website of Quicktate, I was looking for the rate they pay you.

Unfortunately, they do not provide it. You have to contact the support team to find out.

However, I already did it for you. I found out that Quicktate pays you $0.0025 per word for the legal and regular transcription.

For the medical transcription, which requires more terminologies and work, they pay you $0.005 per word.

If you do the math, you will see that Quicktate does not pay much.

Not to mention, the job may require more effort. And I don't think that it pays enough for the work given by the transcribers.

Quicktate will send its payments through Paypal. This is done twice a month: on the 15th and last day of the month.

#1 Small amount of payment

The first thing I don't like about Quicktate is of course, the small pay.

Transcription sounds a bit easy, right? You only have to listen and then type.

However, it is actually a lot more challenging than that. First is that the audio files may contain inaudible parts.

But you must really make sure that you get the correct words. Even though most files are minutes long, trust me, the work will be tedious.

You will be working that but you will receive a small amount of payment. So, you will be lucky if you can cross the $5 per hour mark because to achieve that you need to correctly transcribe 2,000 words.

And I don't think it is worth it. You will be investing a lot of time and effort. But you are only paid a small amount.

#2 Jobs may not be consistent

Apart from the small payment, jobs may not be consistent.

Remember that you will receive audio files to be transcribed, right? However it is not always or every day that you get to receive work.

There will be times that you will receive an audio file or not.

Because of that, Quicktate is not a reliable source of income. It is only good if ever you want to earn some extra cash during your spare time.

Is Quicktate A Scam: Pros

#1 Pays cash

Even though it is small, Quicktate still pays in cash.

Other transcription jobs out there will pay via gift cards which is limited.

#2 Work hour is flexible

When you work in Quicktate, there are no specific hours for you to work.

You can work anytime and even anywhere. This is why it is great as a work-at-home job.

#4 Available for everyone

Some transcription companies out there are very specific with the country where the applicants come from.

Most of them only cater U.S. residents.

But not Quicktate. It is open to hiring people from different countries.

Is Quicktate a scam?

Since we have already covered pretty much everything about Quicktate, we still have one more question to answer.

My answer, after researching about it, is NO.

Quicktate is a legit transcription company offering services since 2008. It also hires transcribers online and pays them with cash.

However, the downside of Quicktate is its small payment.

If ever you want to have a full-time income online, I do not suggest Quicktate.
