The big question is can you really make money taking online surveys or are they just a waste of time and efforts?
Surveys help companies have a better understanding of their customers
Before they produce and launch products they want to see our opinions first
So they don’t do any unnecessary big investments
As you can see our opinions are so damn important for them
That’s why we can make money taking online surveys
But another question pops up
Is it worth it to go after these online surveys?
Can you make decent money taking online surveys or are they just a waste of time?
There is only one way to answer those questions
To find the answer we need to see how much the best surveys programs actually pay.
Let’s have a look.
How Much do The Best Online Surveys Pay?
Here are some of the best survey sites on the internet.
These are some of the highest paying surveys out there
feel free to click and read my reviews about them.
Most of them pay in points only
You have to collect points when you have enough points
You can cash out when the threshold is reached.
Each website has a different minimum payout requirement.
To see how much these paid surveys panels pay
Let’s have a look at Vindale Research as an example
I have tried Vindale research myself I have seen many times 30 minutes surveys that pay only 40 cents
Note that vindale is one of the oldest surveys out there.
Of course, you will get points for watching videos or listening to music too sometimes.
But it’s still peanuts, you have to watch like 20 videos to earn 4 cents or listen to music for 30 minutes to earn 0.1 cents.
That seems to be the case with all those survey sites maybe other sites pay a bit more but it’s still peanuts
Another thing I hate about surveys is the fact that it’s hard to qualify for most surveys
Most of the time you would take a lengthy survey and be told you were no match therefore not get paid.
Let’s not forget that advertisers prefer surveying mostly USA and Canada residents sometimes even Australia and UK
If you are outside these countries I really wouldn’t even try.
Beware of Scammy Surveys
The survey programs I mentioned above are all legit and trustworthy.
Since I came across scammy surveys before I thought I’d emphasize the fact that you need to avoid the scammy ones
Here are some common red flags
You need to pay attention to when you sign up for a site that sounds very promising.
1) Those Asking for Money
Legitimate surveys never ask for money or ask for credit card information
If you’re asked to buy a membership or something like that
It’s time to run away.
2) Those Promising Big Bucks
I came across many surveys that claim to make you rich within a month or less.
Unfortunately, I have seen people being scammed by those.
No site will make you rich online doing something as easy as surveys
Making money online takes lots of hard work like the offline world.
3) Scammy Surveys Examples
To show you those scam tactics on prescriptive
Here some scammy programs I had the chance to review
They are called PartSurvey and Survey Pace

Are Online Surveys Worth it?
Many people think surveys can pay their rent or whatever cost they want to cover.
I have tried many before and this was my reaction all the time.
Well that’s a bit overreacting
But really they are not worth it at least for me
The truth paid surveys don’t pay much
If you expecting to make at least $600/month
I think that’s impossible.
All you can expect is a few dollars every week that’s it.
Companies reward you with some little cash just to thank you for your opinions
They are not paying you
That’s how I see paid surveys now.
If I were you I would start an online business
That’s a reliable way to make a living online however it requires a lot of hard work to make money.
The good news there are some good places where you learn how to start an online business easily
The places I am talking about are Wealthy Affiliate and Affilorama.
Your Turn!
Do you have any experiences with surveys?
Did they disappoint you too?

Hey Anis,
I have tried surveys too and I joined like 10 of them at the same time to try to get more surveys and money. What I ran into most of the time is after completing 95% of the survey I would suddenly not be qualified. And the points/cash I was earning for doing them was nothing. I couldn’t even get $10/week.
Now that’s not to say that if someones really lucky maybe they would somehow qualify for all these surveys and be able to make something out of it, but from the reviews I’ve been seeing like yours, I’m not alone in that situation.
Thanks for the info 🙂
Hi Will, same here I have tried many surveys and I always had the not qualified problem and even if you qualify you would find yourself working the whole week for $8
I think they are not worth it
Online surveys are everywhere and there are lots of articles floating around about taking surveys to earn money. I view taking surveys as an ad-hoc activity, one you engage in only if you are bored and wants to occupy your time. Personally, I think you probably can earn some but given the amount of time and effort spent on it, it is really not worth the trouble. Online business is really the way to go if we are serious about building up something for ourselves.
Hi Moon yes online surveys consume a lot of time and they are not worth it at the end of the day you can put in the same hard work into building and online business which will pay off big time in the future!
Outstanding loved the article. It is so true, I was taken by these some time ago and it is a waste of time. Good job.
Hi Gregory thanks for visiting! 🙂
So I can relate to this article in 2 ways. One I am a wealthy affiliate member and I can certainly say joining is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The amount I learned in such a short time is crazy. I was a complete novice and now have 2 websites up and running.
The second is that online surveys don’t seem very lucrative. My wife was recently in a car accident and has not be able to work in a few months and it will probably be a couple more. She tried some surveys to make money because she doesn’t really want to get into building websites. She is 100% computer illiterate. She can barely fill out the surveys or check email. I’m not kidding. Anyway I’m trying to find some simple ways for her to make money online, other than surveys or building an online business. Any suggestions?
Hi Bill, I am sorry to hear about what happened to your wife, hope she is doing better now.
The only simple way I can think of to make some extra cash is to write articles for other people, there are great sites out there that pay you to write articles, I know a simple one called HireWriters another easy way to earn cash are reward sites but focus only on taking paid offers and referring people if you can, if you shop online there are some good rebate websites to save some money.
these are the best sites I can think of when it comes to earning extra cash.
There are many out there however most of them are either scams or peanuts.
Thank you for suggestions. We will look into those. I’ve been trying to talk her into just joining wealthy affiliate with me but she’s really bad with computers. Hopefully I can convince her and then show everyone that truly anyone can run an online business with the help of Wealthy Affiliate. As you and I both know making significant income online doesn’t get any easier than with the help of WA.
BTW she’s doing OK, just has a lot of back pain and going to get cortisone injections Monday. Thanks again
Yes, Bill WA really makes the process easier and I know a friend that is making a steady income now and he was just like your wife, he took computer courses, I wish you guys the best
Hi Anis
This post on surveys is gold. Thank you for posting this awesome information. I know there are 1000’s of ways to earn money online, however a lot of them aren’t worth the time spent. This really opened my eyes to the true nature of surveys. Keep up the good work.
Hi Mat you are right there thousand ways to earn money most of them are either scams or a waste of time thanks for visiting.
Never really thought of surveys as a legitimate way to make money but you have made me think again. Very informative post and pros and cons pointed out clearly!
Thanks!
Welcome! Thanks for visiting 🙂
