Test Work is part of a crowdsourced QA testing company called Global App Testing.

Tester Work allows you to make money testing apps and websites from big companies like:

How Does TesterWork work?

Tester Work is pretty simple and straightforward.

To get started you just need to follow these three steps.

How To Join Tester Work as a Tester

1) Sign up

The first step is obviously to sign up, you will need to fill up a form with your personal information like your name, residence, zip code...

Other important info that you're required to provide are:

• Your preferred communication platform (phone, Skype or email)
• Your payment method (Paypal or Upwork)
• Your Social media portals (to receive project invitations)
• Your Linkedin Profile (to verify your identity)
• The devices you own

2) Pass the Online Assessment

In order to get accepted as a Tester Work tester there is an online assessment that you need to pass.

This is a 15 minutes test that is going to test your knowledge in QA testing and how good your written English is.

If you fail to pass this test, you will be given a follow-up assessment.

 If you fail to pass both tests you're not going to get accepted.

3) Start Getting Project Invitations 

If you pass the Tester Work test all you have to do is wait for the projects to come to your email.

You will start receiving emails about new projects.

All you have to do is open the projects you're interested, read the guidelines and requirements of the projects and apply to the ones that interest you.

Type Of Testing Projects You'll Receive

There are two types of testing you will have to do at tester work.

1) The Functional Test Case

The first type of testing work you can expect from Tester Work is the functional test case type.

These are just testing projects that give you specific things to test like:

• Test user commands
• Data manupilations

When you receive this kind of projects you must follow the specific test scripts.

2) The Functional Exploratory Test Cycle

The second type of testing projects you will receive is called the functional Exploratory test cycle.

With this kind of projects, you don't have to follow any specific test scripts.

When receiving these kinds of testing projects all you have to do is explore the app or website and test it generally by using your experience in testing.

Is Testerwork Available Worldwide?

I heard about Tester Work when I read an employment offer by them on Glassdoor.

And I noticed that they have many ads on Glassdoor.

Each ad targets a specific country.

So yes, Tester Work is looking for testers from all around the world.

From what I could see it sounds like Tester Work is hungry of testers!

The Requirements to Join Testerwork.com

If you're the average joe like me then bad news you and I have no chance of getting accepted by Tester Work.

You need to have QA (Quality Assurance) work experience or at least education on it.

To test your QA experience you will need to pass the QA Test that I have talked about earlier.

Is TesterWork a Flexible Job?

All the Tester Work jobs are flexible, but you need to keep in mind that all the projects have specific start and end dates.

In order to work on a project you need to wait for it to start and when it starts you're free to complete it until the end date.

For example, you may be invited to a project that will last 3 days, the start date let's say Monday and it ends on Wednesday.

If you apply for the project in Monday you can work how much you want and whenever you want as long as you're going to finish the project by Wednesday.

There are also some projects that have shorter timelines like 3 hours.

How Much Can You Earn with Tester Work?

You will earn based on the type of bugs or issue you find.

There are different types of bugs and issues and each one has a different pay.

This is the minimum payment that Tester Work offers for each type of issue you find.

• Low issue =  $2
• Medium issues = $4
• High Issues = $6
• Crital Issues = $8

How Does Tester Work Pay You?

You will be paid based on the amount of bugs you have detected. 

Payments are made via PayPal or with an Upwork contract.

One of the first things I liked about Tester Work is it's a unique and great experience for the testers.

Things I DON'T Like about Tester Work

1) You Need Experience to Make Money

Tester Work is only for qualified testers with QA experience.

This is not an app that will pay you to take surveys or something so as I said earlier average people like me won't be able to earn from this app!
