What is Writerbay?

Writerbay is an online platform that is mainly focused on writing services. it works in two ways. First is that it provides writing services to clients. Second, it is a job opportunity for freelance writers.

It is because the ones who will be writing for those clients are the freelance writers.

Writerbay is owned and operated by Coreforce LTD. Overall, I think that the platform is good. Writerbay provides good services and the jobs are great.

However, there are some downsides that I would like to point out in order for you to consider it when applying. We will be tackling that later on.

In the next section, let's talk about how Writerbay works. Also, for the sake of this review, we will be discussing in the perspective of a freelance writer, not a client.

How Does Writerbay Work?

Writerbay works pretty straightforward. After signing up and being accepted to work, you will have access to the job listings where you can choose projects you want.

Clients post these jobs. Furthermore, they must pay a fee to be able to do this.

As a freelance writer, you will have a lot of options to choose from. So pick the the project or job that really fits your experiences and skills.

Once you have decided on one, you can start to apply for it. Before you can start working on it, you will have to wait for the client's response first so that you will know if you have been accepted or not.

However, if you are a PRO writer (which we will discuss later), you won't have to wait for a long time.

Once you are accepted, you can read the instructions you will be given and then start working.

Afterwards, all you need to do is to upload it so that the client can review it. If he/she is satisfied with your work, you will be compensated for it!

How to Get Started?

Is Writerbay A Scam sign up process

The Writerbay website shows the steps above. It is basically the 4 steps that one must accomplish to join them.

First things first, you need to apply and fill up an application form. Personal information will be asked and you have to comply to move onto the next step.

After that, to ensure that Writerbay's writers are qualified and skilled, applicants must be able to pass tests that will be given. There are two tests.

One is the grammar test which is a 15-question multiple choice. The other one is a format test which will measure your knowledge about the different format types such as APA, MLA and Chicago style.

After that exam, there is another test you need to comply. This one involves writing two essay articles.

The first one will be impromptu. You must write a 100 to 150 word article within 15 minutes. Furthermore, the topic will be able something that will be provided to you.

The second one has no time limit. Same as the first one, they will give a topic and you must write about it. It must have 275 to 350 words.

To further verify if the writers are skilled enough, you must upload a photo of your diploma, certificate of academic transcripts, together with your curriculum vitae.

However, some applicants have a concern regarding this step since they do not want to provide such personal and sensitive information. So, if you are applying, proceed at your own risk.

After finishing all the steps, Writerbay will review your application. Usually, it will take up to 2 weeks before you can hear about the results. If you are accepted, then congratulations!

Writerbay Earning Potential

Writerbay does not disclose any specific information regarding the pay rate for freelance writers. However, I have learned that it may depend on the level of your skills, as well as the type of the article.

Some people said that you can earn up to $5 to $6.50 per page. Writers can also have the opportunity to earn $20 dollars per page. Regardless of how much you can really earn, it is good to know that Writerbay compensates.

If you are looking for alternatives to compare to Writerbay earning potential you can check out write your way to freedom, more then writers and hirewriters.

But I personally always recommend to use your writing skills to make money from your own business, here's how you can do it.

Payment method

Writerbay sends its payments via 4 methods.

Furthermore, you can only get paid once you read the minimum payout requirement which is $100. Payments are done between the 16th and the 20th of each month.

What is Writerbay's Pro Status

A PRO status can only happen if Writerbay is satisfied with your works, as well as the clients.

Once you are made a PRO, your salary will be increased.

  • Pro Light can get a 15% bonus on each complete work
  • PRO can get 25% bonus and can get more work a lot easier and faster

Furthermore, being a PRO writer, you will not even have to wait for the response and acceptance of Writerbay's Quality Assurance Department to being working on a project!

Is Writerbay A Scam: Cons

#1 High minimum payout requirement

Like I told you above, the minimum payout threshold is $100. That is actually high and you may not be able to withdraw your earnings if you don't meet that account.

You also need to consider how much you will be earning.

#2 Not a passive income opportunity

Although being a freelance writer at Writerbay offers a flexible job opportunity, it will never be a source of passive income.

To earn money, you must do something and work on it.

#3 Requirement issue

One of the requirements to join is to provide your diploma, academic records and CV.

However, to some people, including myself, it can be a hazard. We don't know whether that sensitive information will be used properly.

I understand that this is to assure the qualifications of thee writers, but a sensitive information like that must be kept safe.

#4 Pay can be low

Since the pay rate is not disclosed, we will never be certain how much we can earn. Furthermore, there have been reports that it may depend on your level of expertise.

Some people also said that they are not making enough money. You can learn more below.

Is Writerbay a Scam? Final Review

Writebay is not a scam. It is legit. Writerbay has been offering services for quite some time.

Furthermore, freelance writers have been earning from them! However, there are concerns that we must consider.

The most important is the pay. Writing is not an easy task. It takes a lot of research and editing and many more. Imagine doing something like that and you will only be paid for a small amount of money!

That is totally not worth it. With that, I will leave it up to you to decide whether you will pursue Writerbay or not. But if you want a passive income, I do not recommend it.

Thank you so much for reading my Writerbay review! If you have questions or comments, please leave them on the comment section below!
