What is the Content Authority?
The content Authority is a site where you can get paid to write articles or buy articles from real people; the site is online for a couple of years it's not that popular, but it's legit, and it pays their members.
To be accepted as a writer you must be fluent in English and can write formal articles at a high school level or better, have the ability to do internet research about different topics and can accept Paypal payments.
I will shed more light about the requirements as we go further into the review.
--->: But what about the pay rate and do they pay on time?
How Much & When the Content Authority Pays?
The pay rate is something the most Content Authority users aren't happy with, they currently have four levels or tiers.
How much you earn per article depends on your level, here's a breakdown of the levels.
- Level 1: $.007 per word.
- Level 2: $.01
- Level 3: $.01.5
- Level 4: $0.3
As a level one writer you would earn $2 for a 300 words article, the same article will make you $9 at level 4.
They pay out every Monday via Paypal, you need to earn $25 to be paid, payments are always on time.
You also need to fill out tax forms to be paid.
How to Apply to Write for Content Authority?
To get started, you need to fill up a form with all the important information you will also be asked to write a sample of 150 words which will be used to judge your writing skills.
However, on their application page, they say that new applicants will not be reviewed unless they need new writers.
Experienced and professional writers, especially from the US, can contact them via email or over the phone.

What Other People Say?
I could not find many reviews as the site is not very popular yet; not many people are aware of it.
There are a couple of reviews at Indeed that might be useful.

The Content Authority Review: Any Alternatives?
The Content Authorityis not a bad site; it's a good one indeed especially for new writers, but if you are looking for some alternatives, here are some good ones:
If writing for other people is not your thing and you want to start a successful online business where you write for yourself then I recommend you to check my #1Recommendation.
Thanks to my #1 Recommendation I can earn a solid monthly paycheck by writing for myself.
Is there anything I have missed to mention on this review?
Do you have any experiences with The Content Authority?
Let me hear your thoughts!
whoa I am too late at this party. Still by two cents. I do routinely write for TCA. I know the pay is low, but so are the requirements to write the content. Easy stuff. I’ve made $1500 to $2000 on TCA on a good month without breaking a sweat so for me it is a decent platform.
Good to know Sohail, thanks for sharing with us your experience.
Hi Anis, this site sounds interesting. I only heard of it recently but didn’t realise the pay is so low. It’s good that they pay their writers on time, but it’s a shame that the money you earn won’t be much from the beginning.
I think this is good for people who really enjoy writing and then you can work towards moving up the levels to earn more.
Hi Stephanie, yes the site is good for writers just starting out or like you said people that enjoy writing, thanks for stopping by! 🙂
Very nicely done. There are a lot of scams out there, many of which can be avoided if people were more informed. I’m glad there are people like you that are out to help people avoid this type of aggravation. Great post and great website!
Thank you for your input Oliver yes you are right there are many scams online that should be avoided, this one though is not a scam 🙂
